I was thinking today about the holiday I'm going on next week with my friends, to Manchester. So I was wondering about stuff to do over there, and it got me thinking about previous holidays and trips, and somehow from there I skipped on to phobias and people's fears. Now, I know people with every kind of fear under the sun. Heights, dark, loneliness, spiders, snakes, rollercoasters, water, planes, closets... you name  it, I could probably find one of my many compatriots who fears it. Actually, I'd probably just have to look to one, but that's cheating cos she's literally scared of everything.

Now, some of these people - myself included - have faced these fears a few times, either voluntarily or not. But I still know a lot of people who just don't try. It's just too much for them. And it can't be great for them, psychologically. I mean, I'm afraid of the dark, or more particularly, being outside in the dark. But I've faced it before - shivering and cowering - so I know that if for some reason I was forced to do it again, I wouldn't collapse or die of fright. I don't even know what the point of this was, probably just because it was in my head.

Fur ein ander Ding, ich habe mein Deutsche Abiturprufung morgen. Hilf mir bitte!!
