So here I am in Leeds, on the what, 4th day of my holiday? Went up to Dub to LM and EF on the first day, went to go see “Marley and Me” and slept curled up on LO’s couch in the sitting room. I got so paranoid, put on my alarm on both phone and iPod cos I was worried I was going to sleep in. I didn’t, thank God! Up at 7, left the house at 20 past 8 or so, grabbed the Aircoach and was on my way!

I think I was at the airport for 9, checked in and did nothing for 3 hours or so while I waited. :-s Thank God for iPods and laptops!! I fell asleep pretty much the instant we left the ground, and woke up as the captain was calling first landing announcements, so that was perfect! Money changeover and taxi at Leeds-Bradford airport, and really, we weren’t that far away from the college, so that was grand. Went in the wrong entrance, but it was fine. I called LO and let her come find me! Dropped the bags in her room and laid ourselves out on the grass in the sun with Sz (and another friend that I’m pretty sure did actually tell me his name – for shame on me that I can’t remember it!). LO’s friends so far seem awesome, btw. Met Bx yesterday too, it’s nice to finally put names to the faces!

Figuring out British currency is, by now, not as confusing as it was when I was younger. The introduction of £2 coins is a little awkward, but I haven’t made too many mistakes so far, woot!! Went into Leeds proper yesterday, went to the bank to try and sort out an account, take advantage of the almost flat exchange rate, but it’s proving a little more difficult… I need bank statements, which are, of course, all at home. :-( Went to HMV – outside of which was a long queue of people who we figured must be there for a signing, but there was no unifying theme with the teens outside, and no information on the mystery people inside. So we thought it might be a protest, but no signs visible, and no hassle in actually getting into the store… I don’t know!

Bought new CDs; Folie a Deux, new Killers album, and “…Live in Chicago”, finally!! Also bought a new jacket in H & M, a “dy”. Hoody without the hood! Apparently the only thing in the store LO wouldn’t have worn. Completely opposite tastes in everything win out again!! It’s nice, though, I like it. Sleeping on LO’s floor, which whatever she says, is actually ridiculously comfortable. Seriously, too awesome.Went through her iTunes and stole a good lot of her songs, and I had a tutorial on how to work iTunes manually. (Shut up, I usually use sync and let the computer take care of the problems, ok?)

Going to see Watchmen tomorrow - again, finally!! Cannot wait, and I think I get to meet another of LO’s friends, La.I think we’re possibly making a trip back into town to try for the banks again, and out to Elland Road to replace dad’s broken pint glass. No internet here, :-(. But it’s all good, will post this when I can!
